There was an outage starting at approximately 10:30pm Tuesday night and ending at approximately 9:15am Wednesday morning affecting 80 customers along the CR 228 corridor. For unknown reasons, the uninterruptable power supply/battery backup unit (UPS) on site wasn’t so uninterruptable and had shut down. There were no error alerts reported via our monitoring systems and an inspection of the electrical wiring and conduits did not reveal any visible issues. The system powered back up without issue. We will watch this closely and replace the UPS should this occur again.
